About The Aubrey Town Post

Covering Aubrey, Texas and the greater 76227 corridor — the fast-growing heart of Denton County's Horse Country — with trusted local news, events, and stories that matter.

Our Mission

Aubrey has changed faster in the last decade than in the century before it. A town of roughly 5,000 at the 2020 census is now ringed by master-planned communities like Sandbrock Ranch, Silverado and ArrowBrooke, a school district building for thousands of new students, and highways being widened to keep up. We started The Aubrey Town Post because a community growing this quickly deserves a dedicated local voice — one that covers the news, events, and everyday stories the bigger regional outlets overlook.

What We Cover

  • Local News — Growth, development, roads and the decisions that shape life in Aubrey and Aubrey ISD.
  • Events — Your guide to the Peanut Festival, the farmers market, the Summer Music Series and other gatherings across town.
  • Things To Do — Ray Roberts Lake State Park, downtown, the Greenbelt trails and Horse Country's outdoor life.
  • Home & Services — Practical, no-nonsense local guides for Aubrey homeowners, from HVAC to home costs.
